Started as the solo project of Los Angeles based Drew Straus, (also a member of Twin Cabins) Onsen has grown into a collaboration spanning both coasts. Earthquake Weather was written over the course of two years of intense change; from a career in international policy to the life of a musician; the ends, beginnings, and reexaminations of relationships and sexuality; a new home in Los Angeles. The resulting album is an atmospheric journey of percussive resonance, ethereal musicianship and delicate vocals.
